Political situation to cause only short-term pressure on stock market: top official
Kobsak Pootrakool, deputy secretary-general to the prime minister for political affairs, said he personally believes the current political situation would cause only short-term pressure on the stock market.
He made the remark when speaking about capital markets at the seminar SEC Capital Market Symposium 2019, held on Tuesday (December 17) by the Securities and Exchange Commission.
He said stock investors should not panic as the fundamentals of listed companies are strong while the firms themselves are competitive.
Kobsak urged all parties to join forces to take the country forward.
He also believes the 2020 budget bill will sail through and take effect early next year.
