Thai industrial estates very attractive to foreign investors: Suriya
Industry Minister Suriya Juangroongruangkit said he is confident that businesses in the region, especially those in food and medical equipment sectors, are keen to relocate their production bases to industrial estates in Thailand.
Somchint Pilouk, the Industrial Estate Authority of Thailand’s governor, said the number of applicants wanting to invest in industrial estates rose in the past three quarters of this year, given their confidence in the facilities.
These include the submission for new investment and for existing business expansion.
However, actual investment has been delayed as it is still difficult for foreign investors to land in Thailand due to measures put in place to curb the spread of Covid-19.
