Thawil Plieansri, ex-secretary-general of the National Security Council, took one-week leave Friday after he reported himself to work in a new position as an advisor to the prime minister.
Thawil, who was removed as the NSC chief with a Cabinet resolution on Tuesday, reported to work at the Government House at 8:40 am.
Thawil said he reported to work with Deputy Prime Minister Kowit Wattana and submitted his leave form.
"I have never taken an annual leave during my 20 years of government service," Thawil told reporters.
