Cabinet approves monthly allowance for civil servants

The Cabinet Tuesday approved more monthly cost of living allowance for civil servants and state employees, and assigned Finance Ministry to study new structure of salary for  state officials aimed to pull wages up nationwide.

The Cabinet approved Finance Ministry's proposal to increase stipend for new graduates in order to increase their monthly income to Bt15,000 said  Anutama Amornvivatanutama, deputy government spokesperson. 

While those do not hold bachelor degree would get at least Bt300 a day or, Bt9,000 a month, she said

The scheme will cover civil servants, state employee and soldiers totaling 649,923 persons, she said.
