Bangkok governor says no fishy deal behind dummy camera installation

Bangkok Governor Sukhumbhand Paribatra insisted Wednesday that there were no irregularities behind the installation of dummy security camera on Bangkok streets.

Sukhumbhand told a press conference that the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration had use the same principle with the London City in installing dummy security cameras to discourage criminals from committing crimes.

Sukhumbhand denied allegations posted on the Pantip.com webboard that there were something fishy in the project to install security cameras on Bangkok streets because several cameras turned out be fake ones.

Sukhhumbhands said the cameras were not fake ones but were dummy ones and were stated in the purchasing contracts clearly.
