Wall St rebounds

The Dow Jones Industrial Average closed up 272.38 points, or 2.53 per cent overnight at 11,043.86, rallying above the psychologically-important 11,000 level. 

The S&P 500 surged 26.52 points, or 2.33 per cent, to close at 1,162.95, the best gains in nearly three weeks for the Dow and S&P 500. All 10 S&P sectors gained, led by financials and energy.

The Nasdaq composite rebounded 33.46 points, or 1.35 per cent, to end at 2,516.69.
