Nakhon Pathom's Buddhamonthon Park is now open for temporary storage of flood victims' cars.
Nopparat Benjawattananan, chief of the National Buddhism Bureau, said yesterday that the complex could also be used a refugee shelter upon request by Nakhon Pathom or nearby provinces.
Floodaffected residents of Bangkok can get information on 109 parking centres for 69,959 cars as well as emergency shelters from the Traffic Police’s 1197 hotline or www.trafficpolice.go.th.
They can also obtain information from the Metropolitan Police at (02) 345 6160 for Division 1, 566 4253 for Division 2, 171 4204 for Division 3, 517 2729 for Division 4, 22551888 for Division 5, 223 0175 for Division 6, 449 0395 for Division 7, 477 1080 for Division 8, and 451 7231 for Division 9.
