Govt to provide Bt147 million to rehabilitate industrial sector

The government will spend Bt147 million to carry out four projects as parts of efforts to rehabilitate the industrial sector, Industry Minister Wannarat Charnnukul said Monday.
Wannarat said a government committee in charge of rehabilitating the industrial sector approved four projects our of 10 proposed ones.
In the first approved project, the government will spend Bt15,84 million to drain floodwaters from industrial estates.
In the second project, the government will spend Bt25 million for checking environment, including waer and soil quality of the industrial estates.
The government will also spend Bt22 million to manage environment safety and for disposal industrial wastes of the flooded estates.
Another Bt50 million will be spent for setting shelters for workers affected by the floods, Wannarat said.
