Damaged big-bag floodwall fixed

Relevant authorities Monday rushed to fix the damaged section of 15kilometrelong big-bag floodwall in Bangkok's Don Mueang district, as the structure was crucial in protecting the capital's inner zone from inundation.

More than 100 angry Don Mueang residents dismantled a section of the floodwall on Sunday. They were upset that their houses remained heavily flooded while floodwater level in areas just south of the structure was quickly decreasing since the floodwall went up a week ago.
