U.S. stocks closed mixed in sluggish session overnight on mixed earnings reports,decline in weekly jobless claims, ahead of government&#39;s monthly job report due this Friday

	The Dow Jones Industrial Average ended 11.05 points, or 0.09 per cent lower at 12,705.41.

	The S&amp;P 500 gained 1.45 points, or 0.11 per cent to close at 1,325.54.

	Among key S&amp;P sectors, banks and energy ended higher, while materials slipped. 
	The Nasdaq composite rose 11.41 points, or 0.40 per cent at 2859.68.
