US lifts terrorism warning, seven other nations retain warning

The US government has lifted terrorism warning for its citizens who live and may travel to Thailand, Thai Foreign Minister Surapong Towichukchaikul said Monday.
Surapong said seven other countries have not lifted the terrorism warning so he instructed Foreign Ministry Spokesman Thani Thongpakdi to call the embassies of the nations to consider lifting the warning.
The seven other countries are Italy, Germany, Canada, Australia, Japan and South Korea.
