In a statement, the agency said that the floods were caused by overflows from Noi River, after heavy rainfall during Feb 2-3.
It also added that the Royal Irrigation Department is now pushing the water to the sea, expecting the situation to return to normal within a week.
The statement was released following doubts that the two dams' water release may have caused the flooding.
According to Egat, Bhumibhol Dam is releasing 60 million cubic metres a day while Sirikit Dam 49 million cubic metres a day.
