100 bomb-making items seized in Narathiwat

A Thai combined security team Wednesday seized 100 bomb-making items along with a handwritten handbook for bomb making in Narathiwat's Chanae district, which were revealed by the alleged insurgent sympathiser and bombmaker, Ibroheng Dona, 25.

Ibroheng reportedly confessed and implicated several others as well as admitting to hide bomb making items at his home in Ban Beu Dae in Tambon Chanae. Ranger Forces Regiment 46 chief Colonel Paisal Noosang thus sent rangers along with soldiers, Chanae police and related officials to search the suspect’s home, fruit orchard and rice field.
Paisal said this was a major bomb-making source, which southern insurgents used to produce bombs for violent incidents in three southernmost provinces, to store items, and teach young allies to make bombs.
