Yingluck rules out Thaksin returning to Thailand soon

MONDAY, MARCH 12, 2012

Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra Monday denied that the new charter would be drafted in a way that would allow her brother, former prime minister Thaksin Shinawatra, to return to Thailand soon.

“No, he won’t come back,” Yingluck replied when reporters asked her if a new round of conflicts would flare up if Thaksin returns to the country.
Yingluck insisted that the on-going charter amendment would not aim at helping anyone in particular.
She said the amendments would seek to set up a new constitution drafting assembly and critics were worried too much.
