Six Kanchanaburi districts declared disaster zones

The Kanchanaburi Provincial Administration has declared six of 13 districts in the province drought disaster zones.
Chaiyo Ritthirong, chief of the Kanchanaburi Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Office, said the six districts are Phanom Thuan, Sai Yok, Huay Krajao, Laokwan and Bo Ploy.
He said some 150,000 people in the districts were affected and some 30,000 rai of farmland were damaged.
