Romney projected to win Wisconsin and two other races

Washington - Mitt Romney, the front-runner in the race for the US Republican Party's presidential nomination, was projected to sweep all three primary elections Tuesday evening.
The broadcasters MSNBC and CNN declared Romney the winner over his chief rival Rick Santorum in the north-central state of Wisconsin; in Maryland, an eastern state that borders the nation's capital; and in the District of Columbia itself, home to the federal government.
The projections were based on exit polls. Santorum was not on the ballot in Washington.//DPA
