Salary hike for military officers

The Cabinet yesterday approved Bt952 million for the Defence Ministry to raise the salaries for entry-level military officers.
The Army has been given the largest amount of Bt584 million, the Navy Bt182 million, Armed Forces' Headquarters Bt86 million, the Air Force Bt69 million, the ministry’s secretariat Bt18 million and the Royal aide-de-camp Bt1.9 million among others.
Military officers will get their raises once the officials in the civil sector get theirs, deputy government spokesman Chalitrat Chandarubeksa said.
