BMA, Chula to outline Bangkok vision

The Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) and Chulalongkorn University yesterday launched the Bangkok 2032 (BE 2575) project, which included researching for a vision and direction for the city's development in all aspects.

BMA Governor MR Sukhumbhand Paribatra, who presided over the project launch at Tawanna Hotel in the Bangrak area, said the BMA was the country’s largest specialised local administrative organisation and had the goal of developing a metropolis with good quality and sustainability. He said the project would set the city’s development vision for the next 20 years with community participation, support its works and ensure efficient use of city resources, as the capital aims to become one of the world’s healthiest cities. The project would set six public forums in six district cluster groups as well as 20 other stages on related matters to determine development direction in terms of physical, life quality, economic and social aspects.
