Wall St ends 6-day losing streak

U.S. shares cloed near highs overnight with the Dow and S&P 500 ending 6-day losing streak and the Nasdaq posting best one-day percentage gain this year, as investors buy up beaten stocks.
Dow Jones Industrial Average surged 135.10 points, or 1.09 per cent, to close at 12,504.48. 

The S&P 500 gained 20.77 points, or 1.60 per cent, at 1,315.99. Most key S&P sectors ended higher, led by techs and materials, while utilities edged lower.
Nasdaq composite added 68.42 points, or 2.46 per cent, at 2,847.21.
