Earlier Wednesday, chief coalition whip Udomdej Rattasatien said the budget debate has been constructive and useful.
“Unlike past deliberations, coalition and opposition MPs are presenting factual information that the public needs to know about the budget,” he said.
Udomdej said the House appointed a 63-member committee to vet the Bt2.44 trillion spending plans before the second and third readings.
The committee should include 15 members nominated by the government, 25 from Pheu Thai, 15 from the Democrats, three from Bhum Jai Thai and two from Chart Thai Pattana.
Palang Chon, Chart Pattana parties will each get one seat on the committee. Other smaller parties will be allocated one committee seat.
