Asst Prof Kritika Kongsompong, Sasin’s Assistant Director of Marketing and PR, and an adviser on the “Sasin towards Asean” project said: “After our successful project in Phuket, we cooperated with Ubon Ratchathani’s Chamber of Commerce to organise a special presentation about ‘Education towards Asean’.
“We want to develop human resources to be ready for competition at an international level. The business leaders of the future are now studying at graduate business schools throughout the region, so Sasin is taking the lead in preparing these future leaders for the AEC now,” Kritika said.
Sasin’s chief of planning and business development, Rattima Mukdaanan, who also the project’s director, said the event in Ubon Ratchathani could stimulate investors and business leaders in the region. Most leaders were concerned about education, she said, as the next generation of managers would drive organisations toward future success. Ubon was also a centre of the northeastern border region known as “Emerald Triangle”, so the area needed to be ready for economic cooperation between Thailand, Cambodia, and Laos.
A followup seminar entitled “Final Curve to AEC” will be held five times via cooperation from three partners: Sasin, the Thailand Management Association, and MBA Magazine. It aims to assist Thai traders and businessmen who are keen to prepare for the AEC.
