Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra will visit Phayao to inspect Royal development projects at Kwan Payao Lake today to deal with water problems. The news prompted local authorities to hurriedly prepare a welcoming ceremony for her.
Kwan Payao Lake fisherman Chantib Fufuain said the community would ask the premier to push forward a “monkey cheeks” project around Khun Dech Bridge and help get rid of dead hyacinth, which caused the lake to be shallower. He said he had asked many provincial governors to do these things previously, but to no avail, but hoped the premier would help the local fishing community this time.
Yingluck will also attend the opening ceremony of a new canteen at Wat Chiang Ban Temple in Chiang Kham district.
