DSI takes over 13 coldpill cases

Thirteen pseudoephedrine-related cases at government and private hospitals in Chiang Mai and Lamphun have been taken over by the Department of Special Investigation.
The DSI arrested Sukhumchart Kanjanakamol, son of the owner of Mor Wong clinic in Chiang Mai's Muang district, and Mayuree Luangkhrueng, who works for Asian Pharmaceutical, after they were caught illegally purchasing more than 400,000 pseudoephedrine pills using the clinic’s name, deputy DSI director-general Sansern Palwatwichai said.
A few government hospitals in the Northeast have also been caught forging purchase orders and providing fake documents about the number of tablets bought and sold, he added.
