Earlier, Somsak said he might hold the last sitting of the chambers to deliberate some draft legislation that require to be approved by MPs and senators in line with the Constitution.
Red-shirt leader and Pheu Thai party-list MP Korkaew Pikulthong has said he would propose during the joint sitting for MPs and senators to deliberate the charter amendment bill in the third reading despite an injunction of the Constitution Court.
But chief coalition whip Udomdej Ratanasathien disagreed, saying the coalition could be beaten in such an effort to push for the third reading.
To end the controversy, Somsak said such a joint sitting would not be held.
