Yutthasak confident Myanmar to release 49 Thais before its president visits Bangkok

Deputy Prime Minister Gen Yutthasak Sasiprapha expressed confidence Monday that 49 Thais who have been rounded up by Myanma authorities on encroachment charge would be released before July 22.

Yutthasak said he believed that the Thais would be released before Myanmar President Thein Sein makes an official visit to Bangkok on July 22.
Yutthasak said the 41 Thai men and 8 Thai women were arrested for allegedly encroaching on Myanmar forests opposite from Ranong. They were detained inside eight houses.
