Wall St ends up

US stocks closed higher in volatile trading overnight, wiping out previous session's falls on better-than-expected
earnings reports, while investors hope Federal Reserve is still open to further easing.
Dow Jones Industrial Average gained 78.33 points, or 0.62 percent, to finish at 12,805.54
S&P 500 surged 10.03 points, or 0.74 per cent at 1,363.67.All 10 S&P sectors finished in positive territory, led by materials and health care shares.
The Nasdaq added 13.10 points, or 0.45 per cent at 2,910.04.
