Priewpan said he will carry on his job until his retirement at the end of September.
“I have not been approached to join the government nor intend to quit my job,” he said.
He added he did not want to supervise the police service because incumbent Deputy Prime Minister Chalerm Yoobamrung was already doing a good job.
He said following his retirement, he might continue his involvement in the suppression of illicit drugs.
