Democrats to target PM for censure

The Democrat Party has launched the preparations to file a motion of no-confidence although it has not set a specific date to censure Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra, Democrat MP Theptai Seanapong said on Friday.

“We still have four months to pick a date for censure debate,” he said.
Theptai said the censure would take place even if the government might reshuffle the Cabinet. The ministerial line-up would not change anything because PM Yingluck would be the main target for grilling, he added.
He said the censure motion would be filed as it was a consitutional duty for the opposition to check on the government performance.
Observers expect the Democrats would use the character-assassination tactic agaisnt Yingluck as she was notorious for her blunders in public speeches.
Earlier, Yingluck mostly stayed away from House debates and mostly assigned her deputies to answer the oppostion's questions in the House.
