The unit of soldiers was on a routine patrol to provide security for teachers going to school in Yarang district when a roadside bomb went off, causing their vehicle to lose control, turn up side down and plunge into a roadside field.
Nine soldiers were wounded. Detonated by remote-control, the bomb was built into a fire extinguisher and weighed an estimated 15 kg.
