Yingluck climbs in Forbes' ranking of powerful women

Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra has been included in the Forbes magazine's list of the world's most powerful women for a second time.

Forbes mentions how most of Thailand held its breath when Yingluck’s political party faced dissolution over the charter reform controversy. Yingluck, who was ranked the 59th most powerful woman in 2011 thanks to her dramatically successful political debut, has risen to the 30th rank this year.
According to Forbes, the 45yearold leader was included because she “oversees a country of 67 million and the secondlargest economy in Southeast Asia.”
