Princess to take up diplomatic post
HRH Princess Bajrakitiyabha will become Thai Ambassador to Austria, the Cabinet said Tuesday.
The princess will remain chairperson of the 21st Commission on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice and Alternate Permanent Representative of the Kingdom of Thailand to the International Organisations in Vienna until the term finishes in December this year.
Reshuffles in Foreign Ministry included Somsak Suriyawongse, Thai Ambassador to Vienna, who becomes ambassador to France and Waravuth Chuvirat, minister of Thai Embassy in Beijing who becomes Thai Ambassador to the United Arab Emirates. The Ministry’s deputy spokesman Sek Wannamethee moves to become director general of America and South Pacific department.
