Man arrested for keeping 6 tigers in apartment
In Pathum Thani's Klong Luang district, a Thai man was arrested Monday for keeping six tigers in his apartment.
Police division for crimes agaisnt natural resouraces and environment officials Monday extended the previous arrest of wildlife trade in Nonthaburi’s Bang Kluay district to search the five-storey Ritthibundit Apartment. They found three tiger cages on the rooftop deck with five male tigers and one female tiger. Surasak Boonthienthong, 29, presented himself to police as the landlord and the owner of tigers. Police pressed charge agaisnt Surasak and contacted Ratchaburi wildlife officials to take the tigers for DNA checking for origin.
