Fourth skeleton found at 'killer' doctor's farm in Phetchaburi

A fourth skeleton was discovered yesterday at Pol Colonel Supat Laohawattana's farm in Phetchaburi, while the provincial court issued another warrant against the doctor for illegal possession of guns and ammunition.

Provincial Police Region 7 chief Lt-General Hanpol Nitwibool had officials with a ground-penetrating radar scanning device and three metal scanners search the property for the bodies of Samart Numjui and his wife Orasa Kerdsap, who are missing and feared dead after reports of a dispute with Supat three years ago. Initial DNA tests on three skeletons dug up at the farm found none of those bodies were Samart or Orasa’s.
Hanpol said he welcomed the request for more DNA tests by Samart’s father Sawang Numjui, who earlier urged Central Institute of Forensic Science director Pornthip Rojanasunand to conduct further tests.
Relatives of the missing couple went to the farm to witness the police searching at three spots yesterday, while Tha Mai Ruak Police superintendent Pol Colonel Pichai Pokpong also prayed to the spirits for help to find what they were looking for.
Supat’s brother Suthep Laohawattana called Sawang to ask about progress and said he believed the couple’s bodies were buried in the back of the ranch, because his sister Sasithorn Saetang had told him she saw the couple riding in the same truck with Supat before hearing gunshots. And she never saw the couple come back.
Sawang said Supat should accept reality and tell the truth, so they could get the couple’s bodies back for funeral services. He wondered how Supat could deny killing the couple when Kala, his worker from Myanmar, had given accurate information about the three skeletons already found. He said the first victim had been forced to drink poison while the other two were shot.
