The attackers were driven off by Abdulkode Amiha who was tapping rubber nearby. He shot back at the gunmen, forcing them to flee.
In Pattani, three bombs went off on Sunday at a rubber warehouse behind the Yang Thai Pak Tai factory in Nong Chik. Police suspect the blasts were a warning for the factory owner to pay “protection fee”.
