Myanmar train accident kills 25
Yangon - A train transporting petrol to north-western Myanmar overturned and caught fire, killing 25 people and injuring 62, state media reports said Saturday.
The train en route from Mandalay with seven petrol coaches and two diesel coaches overturned at Chat-gyi station, Kanbalu township, Friday morning, The New Light of Myanmar reported.
Villageres from Chat-gyi reportedly took advantage of the accident to pilfer petrol from the wreckage.
It was not immediately clear from how many of the injured were civilians.//DPA
