Phuket Police Commander Maj-General Chote Chawanwiwat said the deceased, Peter Right, 47, was in the business of renting out apartments in Koh Samui. He left the island for Phuket on November 22 and lost contact with family and friends since November 24. His compatriots filed a missing complaint on November 24. Police suspected that Right was abducted by an unknown group, tortured and killed between November 25-27 period and the motive might have been business conflict or illegal trade.
