Wall St ends lower

U.S. stocks recovered on news that House of Representatives will reconvene on Sunday evening to resume "fiscal cliff" talks.
Dow Jones Industrial Average slipped 18.28 points, or 0.14 per cent, to end at 13,096.31.

S&P 500 fell 1.73 points, or 0.12 per cent to 1,418.10.

Among key S&P sectors, materials and financials held small losses, while consumer staples gained.

Nasdaq lost 4.25 points, or 0.14 per cent to close at 2,985.91.
