Ministry seeks Bt2.7bn budget to develop food industry

The Ministry of Industry plans to seek a Bt2.7billion budget from the government for fiscal 2014, to raise the local food industry to international level through a project to set up food valleys in four regions of the Kingdom.

Industry Ministry Prasert Boonchaisuk said the food valleys would be in line with the ministry’s strategy to create a cluster and network connecting food entrepreneurs and educational institutions for cooperation in research and development.
