Police chief hurt in home shooting

The superintendent of Khao Chai Son Police Station in Phatthalung has shot and seriously injured himself.
Pol Colonel Tawatchai Jongwang was found with gunshot wounds inside his official residence yesterday morning. The shots came from his own gun. An ongoing investigation suggests that he was overwhelmed with stress lately after the number of crimes in his area kept growing.
Tawatchai was rushed to a local hospital before he was transferred to Bangkok Hospital Hat Yai for an operation.
