US: N Korea probably has nuclear missiles, but unreliable

Washington - A US congressman read a finding from an Defence Intelligence Agency (DIA) report during a hearing Thursday suggesting that North Korea has nuclear warheads that could be delivered by ballistic missiles.

Doug Lamborn, a Republican from Colorado, read the excerpt, which he said was part of an unclassified summary of an unreleased report, during a hearing of the House Armed Services Committee: "DIA assesses with moderate confidence the North currently has nuclear weapons capable of delivery by ballistic missiles. However, the reliability will be low."
General Martin Dempsey, chairman of the Pentagon's Joint Chiefs of Staff, declined to comment when Lamborn asked him about the finding.//DPA
