S&P at new high,Nasdaq hits 12.5 yr peak

U.S. stocks closed mixed overnight, but S&P 500 rose to touch new all-time high
Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 5.07 points to close at 14,968.89.
S&P 500 gained 3.08 points to end at 1,617.50.Among key S&P sectors, technology and financial shares led the gainers, while utilities lagged.

Nasdaq added 14.34 points at 3,392.97,hitting a 12.5 year high.

So far this year, the Dow gained 14 per cent, while the S&P and Nasdaq surged over 13 per cent each.
