DSI filed two additional charges against Abhisit and Suthep

The Department of Special Investigation (DSI) Tuesday filed two more charges relating to the 2010 redshirt crackdowns against former prime minister Abhisit Vejjajiva and former deputy prime minister Suthep Thaugsuban.

Abhisit and Suthep, then director of the Centre for the Resolution of the Emergency Situation (CRES), were summoned to hear the charges at the DSI’s head office.

Tarit Pengdit, director general of the DSI, said the two were charged with conspiring with others to have murder committed with expected results in connection with the killing of a boy, Kunakorn Srisuwan.
The other charge was conspiring with others to attempt to have murder committed with expected results in connection with the attack on Samorn Maithong that left him seriously wounded.
Abhisit and Suthep met with DSI investigators for over an hour and then left without giving interviews to reporters.
