There are 10 schools in Thailand in this prestigious network, an initiative of the German Federal Foreign Office. It’s a global network of some 1,500 schools that place a high value on German language at secondary school level. To commemorate this event, German Ambassador Rolf Schulze, the school’s principal Dr Yuvadee Nakapadungrat, and the Goethe Institut’s Language Department head Dr Hans-Dieter Drexler will unveil a plaque at Mahidol Wittayanusorn School’s library on Thursday at 10am.
Only the best schools can become member of the Pasch network. They receive special benefits, like scholarships for students to learn German in Germany, and guidance for the latest teaching materials and special features for students.
Pasch is an initiative of the German Federal Foreign Office in cooperation with the Central Agency for Schools Abroad (ZfA), the Goethe Institut (GI), the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) and the Educational Exchange Service of the Standing Conference of the Ministers of Education and Cultural Affairs of the Lander in the Federal Republic of Germany (PAD).
