Wall St ends up, Dow at new high

Dow Jones Industrial Average surged 169.26 points, or 1.11 per cent, to close at new all-time high of 15460.92. All 30 Dow components finished higher, led by Intel and Microsoft.
S&P 500 gained 22.40 points, or 1.36 per cent at 1,675.02, its sixth-straight rally and new closing high.
Nasdaq compsite added 57.55 points, or 1.63 per cent, to end at 3,578.30, best close since 2000.
All key S&P sectors closed firmly higher, propelled by techs and materials.
