Order of key bills to be debated next week: Varathep

The 2014 Budget Bill is expected to be put up for its second and third readings in Parliament on August 1415, PM's Office Minister Varathep Ratanakorn said yesterday.

If the bill is considered at that time, it will be in line with the government’s schedule, said Varathep, who is also agriculture and cooperatives minister.
Other bills to be considered include the Bt2trillion loans bill for public infrastructure, plus the amnesty and Constitution amendment bills, he said.
Government whips will meet next Wednesday (July 24) to consider the order in which these bills should be considered.
Despite pressure from the red shirts, who are pushing for the amnesty bill to be debated first, Varathep said the order in which these laws would be heard had yet to be discussed, as they were all important.
