Saowanee Nimpanpayungwong said she had chosen not to respond to a question posed by a police major attached with the DSI’s women and children protection unit because she found it sexually offensive and walked off after the unnamed officer asked her another question in a slightly less offensive manner.
DSI director-general Tarit Pengdith said he sympathised with Saowanee upon learning of her complaint, which was lodged along with a supporting complaint by the Women and Men Progressive Movement Foundation, and promised fair treatment in investigation for both parties.
