Fire breaks out behind Government House's garage

A fire was spotted at 8pm on August 1 behind the Government House's garage, likely to have been caused by a cigarette butt.
Police officers stationed outside the Government House spotted thick smoke. Officers inside were alerted and promptly put out the fire.
Pol.Maj.Gen.Thawat Boonfueng, deputy secretary-general to the prime minister, inspected the area. Initially, officers believed that the fire was caused by a cigarette butt thrown from a toilet.
"It's a result of negligence. We may need to strengthen the rules and this requires further discussion. I affirm here that this is not an attempt of a terrorist attack," he said.
