Yingluck to have no part in reform council

Pheu Thai Party Secretary General Poomthum Wechayachai said on Monday that Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra will not be part of the political reform council.

"The prime minister will not be part of the discussion, though she will host it," he said.
Asked whether this proposal was floated to diffuse the anti-government protest, he said that these are two different things. "It's not even related to the amnesty bill. This proposal is meant to offer a long-term solution, to help formulate Thai-styled democracy... The success ratio remains unknown. But as the prime minister said, even if the success ratio is 1 per cent, we must try."
