Applications open for Wasan's replacement

The committee tasked with selecting a replacement for former Constitutional Court judge Wasan Soypisudh is accepting applications from candidates from Tuesday to August 13.
Decision on the most viable candidate will be made on August 27.
On Monday, the selection committee named Supreme Court President Pairoj Wayuparb as its chairman, a press release from the Senate secretariat said.
The resignation of Wasan, who was at the court as a legal expert, has been effective since August 1.
Of the nine members of the Constitutional Court, three come from the Supreme Court, two from the Supreme Administrative Court , while the others are experts in law and political science.
