Talks with BRN will proceed: Pracha

Deputy Prime Minister Pracha Promnok insisted on Thursday that the negotiation with the Barisan Revolusi Nasional (BRN) would continue.

"The negotiation is not completely terminated, as they still see some values. Yet, they would like to delay any further talks, until Thailand answers their five demands," said Pracha, who is in charge of national security

Pracha said that Thailand’s intelligence contacted BRN for clarity on this. The answer is not absolute, but the fraction also agreed that negotiation is the best way to restore peace in the Deep South.

Pracha said that terminating the negotiation could also upset people in the South.

He said that Thailand should soon discuss the five demands.

He made the comment following the release of a video clip on Youtube. Claiming to come from the BRN, the clip said it had terminated the negotiation on peace in the Deep South with Thailand.
